CANTON -- The Potsdam Humane Society's 5th annual Pars for Paws Golf Tournament is slated for Friday, July 24 at the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club, 70 Sullivan Dr.

"This is an important fundraiser for us and every year we get a terrific show of support for our tournament from local businesses and individuals," said Suzanne Smith, PHS board chair and this year's tournament chair. “Money from the tournament directly supports the animals in our care. Additionally, PHS offers educational programs for the local schools, a Pets for Veterans program, a successful low-cost spay and neuter program and more. All of this benefits our community.”

The tournament is seeking sponsors and offers four levels of support:

• Hole-in-One ($1,000) includes a featured listing in the program, two hole sponsorships, photo submission to local media, as well as year-round recognition at PHS shelter building and at Best Friends Thrift store in downtown Potsdam.

• Gold ($500) includes a featured listing in the program, a hole sponsorship and photo submission to local media to as well as recognition at PHS, its web site and Best Friends Thrift Store.

• Silver ($200) includes listing in program and on poster displayed on specific holes, PHS, its web site and all acknowledgements as appropriate.

• Bronze ($100) listing in program, PHS, its web site and all acknowledgements as appropriate

For more information about becoming a sponsor, please contact Suzanne Smith at (315) 212-1278 or visit the PHS web site at potsdamhumanesociety.org.

To register a four-person team, stop by the shelter or go to potsdamhumanesociety.org or partridgerungolf.com for more information and registration forms. The cost is $60 per person.

Tournament proceeds support the Potsdam Humane Society (PHS), a nonprofit organization serving 10 towns within St. Lawrence County. Last year's tournament raised over $10,000.
