POTSDAM -- Potsdam High School’s Hall of Fame weekend will be Sept. 13 and 14 this year.
This year’s inductees are Stanley MacDonald, Norman Bell, Daniel Charlebois, James Williams, and Lauren Karis.
The Outstanding Teams are the 1995 girls’ track and field, 1996 girls’ track and field, 1997 girls’ track and field, and 1998 girls’ track and field teams.
John Turcotte will be honored with the Outstanding Contributions to PCS Athletics Award, and Ernie LaBaff will receive the Gertie LaBaff Community Service Award.
Friday will kick off with a 10 a.m. golf “participation” at the Potsdam Town & Country Club, with a tailgate party at the Potsdam Elks’ Lodge at 7:30 p.m.
The Hall of Fame wall will be unveiled Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the Gillette/Saunders Physical Education Complex, with a Hall of Fame football game at 1:30 p.m. against St. Lawrence Central School.
The weekend will wrap up Saturday with a dinner and induction ceremony at A.A.Kingston middle school cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be $17, and checks should be payable to PCS Athletic Hall of Fame, PO Box 902, Potsdam.
