POTSDAM -- The Potsdam High School Red Cross Club donated $1,500 at their end of year party and recognition ceremony June 7.
Jane Gendron the executive director of the North Country American Red Cross attended and was presented a check for $1,000 for the Local Disaster Emergency Fund supporting residents who have experienced a disaster.
The club also presented her with a check of $500 for the Mohawk Valley Refugee Center in Utica. Members of the club were able to talk directly using Facetime with the center's director and a refugee about the work being done to support refugees fleeing violence and war in their home countries.
Gendron also presented certificates to four of our seven graduating seniors who attended to thank them for their service to the Red Cross.
