POTSDAM -- The Potsdam High School Drama Club presents the award-winning musical, “Crazy For You” on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 22, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The musical features tap numbers, Gershwin songs and hilarious plot twists.

The production stars seniors Ivan Jukic and Ariana Frascatore as Bobby and Polly, Noah Chichester as theater impresario Bela Zangler, Emily Wanamaker (Irene Roth-Bobby’s fiancée), Michael Hobbs (Lank Hawkins), Daniel Chichester (Eugene Fodor), Molly Tishberg (Patricia Fodor), Cassidy Easton (Everett), Gwyneth Heuser (Mother), Cristy Stoian (Tess) and Clarissa Mitchell (Patsy). The Cowboy Trio is played by Matt Cincinnati, Connery Marsh, and Taylor Prosper.

East meets west when a stage-struck New York City playboy comes to a sleepy Nevada mining town to foreclose on a theater and promptly falls for the only girl in town, who happens to own the theater. He brings the Zangler Follies showgirls to Deadrock to put on a show and save the theater.

Romance, mistaken identities, and musical numbers add up to an evening of great entertainment. The sparkling Gershwin score features such memorable Gershwin songs as “Embraceable You,” “I Got Rhythm,” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.” Crazy For You features a book by Ken Ludwig, music by George Gershwin, and lyrics by Ira Gershwin

The cast of 34 also includes Katherine Blanchard, Elna Daby, Sierra Damon, Sammie Frick, Zoe Loveless, Claire Maciel, Miranda Mangual, Anna Merchant, Taylor Murray, Delaney Normile, Carrie Potter, Chitara Robertson, Rory Sixberry, Anders Julin, Sam Lee, Connery Marsh, Quincy Neaton.

Crew members include MJ Weirich, Sam Heer, Samantha Kardash, Clare Brownell, Ana Jukic, Elijah Adams, John Maroney, Alyssa Theobald, Gwen Deuel.

The production staff includes Director Tammara Madeja, Production Assistant Abigail Imhof, Choreographer Samantha Bell, Music Director Jill Rubio, Set Designer Jeffrey Grigel, Scenic Painting Instructor Bill Newman, Costume Designer Alice Reed, Properties Suzanne Waters, Lighting and Sound Design Noah Chichester and Stage Manager Nathan Gingrich.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 students and senior citizens.
