POTSDAM -- The Potsdam High School Drama Club will present “A Night on Broadway” in the Potsdam High School auditorium Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 pm.
The show features selections from classics like Oklahoma, Annie, Chicago, and, Showboat. Students will also perform selections from lesser known musicals including Secret Garden, Sunday in the Park with George, and Pippin.
“This has been a very student-motivated and driven project,” said Drama Club adviser Tammy Madeja. “Students have been rehearsing for several weeks as well as building and painting sets, planning publicity, and creating a budget. While the school musical features a few students as soloists, a Broadway Revue provides the opportunity for many students to have a ‘starring’ role. We look forward to having the community join us for our 5th annual Broadway Revue.”
Tickets are $5 and are available from the Potsdam High School main office, cast members, and will be available for the door. Tickets may also be put on reserve by e-mailing the drama club adviser, Tammy Madeja, at tmadeja@potsdam.k12.ny.us.
Proceeds from the performance will be used to support future musicals and plays at Potsdam High School.
