POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op's second Thursday sampling will be held Feb. 12 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 24 Elm St.
The “Say Cheese Please” feature will be Murcia al Vino cheese, also known as “Drunken Goat”. It is produced in the hot, dry Murcia region in southeastern Spain.
It is given the name “Drunken Goat” because after it is made, this semi-soft cheese is immersed in the local Murcian wine for two to three days and then allowed to age for over two months, imparting a fruity scent, delicious flavor, and burgundy color to the outer rind.
