POTSDAM -- Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St. plans to hold a cheese sampling Thursday, Jan. 12, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The event will highlight St. Regis and Mount Titus, both local cheeses from Meier's Artisan Cheese, Fort Covington. Dan Meier, of Meier’s Artisan Cheese, immigrated from Switzerland in 1989. All of his artisan cheeses are made with the milk of his farm's Jersey and Holstein cows and contain no preservatives or antibiotics.
The varieties of Meier’s Artisan Cheese are named after local landmarks and reflect the character of the farm and this region.
