POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will host its “Third Thursday Tastings” with Blue Hill sweet potato yogurt and soofoo Moroccan medley mix Oct. 16 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Blue Hill Farm, in the lower Hudson Valley, began as a dairy farm in the 1860s.
The vegetables for their are sourced from nearby farms.
Sweet potato yogurt has a tangy flavor, but is more subdued than a Greek yogurt and its texture is thin and loose.
The yogurt contains 30 percent, or more, of vegetable puree and boasts a low sugar content.
Soofoo Moroccan medley mix is an aromatic medley of lemon, garlic, tomato, and spices that turns whole grain goodness into a boldly flavored and colorful mix.
It is rich in protein and fiber and cooks like rice.
It's organic, kosher, vegan and U.S.-grown.
