POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will host a cheese sampling Thursday, June 9, from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. with its June Cheese of the Month halloumi, from Cyprus.
This traditional white cheese has been produced on the island of Cyprus for centuries.
Halloumi is a rindless cheese prepared from a mixture of sheep, goat, and sometimes cow's milk, rolled in mint and soaked in brine.
