POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will host their “Say Cheese Please!” sampling on March 10 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. featuring MontCabrer, a goat cheese from Spain.
It is made from pasteurized goat’s milk and aged 2 to 3 months.
The cheese is bathed in a mixture of vegetable oil and charcoal, giving the rind a dusty dark gray color with patches of white mold.
Suggested wine pairings vary widely and include everything from dry whites, to fruity zinfandel, to pinot noir.
