POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Figure Skating Club will present their ice show March 17, at 6 p.m. at Cheel Arena on the Clarkson University campus.
The theme of this year’s show is “A Night at the Movies” and features skaters from beginner to advanced representing the area.
The kids have worked on their skating skills since October and are enthusiastic about showing what they have learned.
Skating to such movie themes as Lion King, Cars, Star Wars, Harry Potter and the list goes on are the trio of Daniela Pena, Kaitlyn Johnson and Erica Lavigne; the duet of Catherine Barstow and Brianna Grant.
This year’s soloists include Morgan Sabre, Breanna, Kennedy Hayes, Dustin Grant and Breanna Cardinal.
This year PFSC features their graduating senior soloists – Alyssa Sloan graduating from Parishville Hopkinton Central School, Bridget Owney from Potsdam Central School and Sarah Lavigne from Norwood Norfolk Central School.
Also joining the cast are local synchronized skating teams – The Shooting Stars, Rainbow Connection, Ice Angels and Saint Sensations.
The cost for the show is $6 or $3 for children under 10, free for children under 5 years of age.
