POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Farmers’ Market will host a family fun day July 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the municipal lot, near Ives Park.
Highlights will include a fruits and vegetables trivia tent, a radish toss, prizes and face painting.
The first 75 kids to visit the manager’s tent will receive a certificate for a free scoop of ice cream at Stewart’s Shops.
Author Yvona Fast will give a talk at 11 a.m. for the adults on her book “Garden Gourmet,” a compilation recipes for seasonal vegetables.
A trivia game for adults will also be held, with a basket of farmers’ market goods as a prize.
A photo booth with local photographer Laura Popielski will also be offered.
A DJ will provide music and breakfast and lunch will be available.
A wine and cheese tasting will also be offered, as well as samples of dishes featuring seasonal ingredients.
