POTSDAM – The Potsdam Elks Lodge will sponsor a local Punt, Pass and Kick contest on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Potsdam High School Football Field.

The contest is open to boys and girls ages 6-15. Age is determined by the contestant’s age as of 12/31/10. Age divisions will register and compete at different times.

The schedule is as follows:

Ages 6-7, registration 9:30-10 a.m. Contest begins at 10 a.m.; ages 8-9, registration 10:15-10:45 a.m. Contest begins at 10:45 a.m.; ages 10-11, registration 11-11:30 a.m. Contest begins at 11:30 a.m.; ages 12-13, registration 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Contest begins at 12:15 p.m.; ages 14-15, registration 12:30-1 p.m. Contest begins at 1 p.m.

The top three finishers in each boy’s and girl’s division will receive an NFL PPK ribbon. All contestants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

As awards will be given out at the conclusion of each age group contest, it is important each contestant be ready to participate when their age group is scheduled.

There will be no makeup’s once an age group has finished the competition. First place winners in each division will advance to a regional contest.

Competitors must wear sneakers only. No football shoes, cleats or turf shoes are allowed. Also, no bare feet.

Pre-registration is encouraged or contestants may register the day of the contest. Contestants may pre-register on-line at www.nflppk.com.
