The Potsdam Community Chorus presents its spring concert, "English Composers through the Centuries," at venues in Ogdensburg and Potsdam.
On Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m., the chorus will perform in the First Presbyterian Church of Ogdensburg on Ford Street.
On Sunday, April 24, at 3 pm, the performance will be in Hosmer Hall of The Crane School of Music, at SUNY Potsdam.
Both concerts are free. Donations are accepted to benefit musical programming.
Led by musical director Nils Klykken of the Crane school, the chorus of community members and students will offer music by Tallis, Elgar, Handel and Britten. Organist Laura Toland will provide accompaniment. Also featured are student conductors Hannah Pawluk and John Alecci.
Following the Potsdam concert, a drawing for five gift baskets -- chocolate lover's, Pampered Chef, pet, tea, and child's fishing basket -- will be held. Tickets will be available before the concert, at intermission and immediately following.
