POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Community Chorus, now directed and conducted by Tammara Madeja, will begin its 12th season Monday, Aug. 26.
The first rehearsal will be Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. in C-107 at Crane School, SUNY Potsdam.
Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. The fee is $25 per semester for non-students, and choristers must purchase music.
Madeja has been the choral director at Potsdam High School since 1992. She succeeds Jeffrey Francom.
The fall “In Remembrance” concert will be Sunday, Nov. 24. Music will include "Lux Aeterna" by Lauridson, "My Spirit Sang All Day," "In Remembrance," "Ye Shall have a Song," from The Peaceable Kingdom, and "Sure on This Shining Night."
