POTSDAM -- Potsdam Community Chorus welcomes new and returning singers of all voice parts to its first rehearsal of 2015, at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in Bishop Hall, C-107, The Crane School of Music.
Board members will collect dues and sell music beginning at 6:15. The cost for community members is $25, with a special family rate of $20 per person if there are two or more members from the same family. Dues are waived for first time community members. SUNY and Crane students do not pay dues. Music will be $20 for everyone.
Music for the chorus’s April 19 concert includes a “Rodgers and Hammerstein on Broadway” medley; “You'll Never Walk Alone,” from Carousel; choruses from several Gilbert & Sullivan operettas; and opera choruses from The Bartered Bride, Cavalleria Rusticana and Prince Igor (“Polovtsian Dances”).
PCC’s musical director and conductor is Tammara Madeja, the choral director at Potsdam High School.
