POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Community Band will begin preparations for its winter concert with a series of rehearsals beginning Monday, Nov. 2.
Initial rehearsals will be held at the Potsdam High School band room from 7 to 9 p.m.
The band, now in its sixth year, is under the direction of Theresa Witmer.
Membership is open to all adult musicians who can play a standard band instrument at least at a high school level.
High school players are also welcome with permission from their school band director and a note from their parent/guardian.
Rehearsals for the winter concert, scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at SUNY Potsdam’s Hosmer Concert Hall, will be held Mondays, Nov. 2, 11, 16 and 30, Dec. 14 and Jan. 11, with a dress rehearsal on Thursday, Jan. 14.
