POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Community Band has two opportunities this month to read through music for its summer concerts. The informal sessions will be May 11 and 18 at 7 p.m. at the Potsdam High School band room.
Rehearsals for summer concerts begin June 1.
Potsdam Community Band will perform publicly for the Potsdam Summer Festival on Friday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Ives Park, Potsdam. A week later, the band has plans to travel to the Adirondacks for a performance at the annual Lake George Community Band Festival on July 18.
Any adult who plays a band instrument can join the band. High school-aged players are welcome, with parental permission and a note from the school band instructor.
