POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op is seeking submissions for its 17th baking fest and silent auction.
Bakers of all levels may enter the contest, which will raise funds for the Potsdam Neighborhood Center.
Those entering should make their recipe twice. One will be displayed for the silent auction. The other is put out for sampling to be voted upon.
Event organizers encourage entries to hit into categories chocolate, fruit, savory and special diet (gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and vegan).
The people's choice winner in each category will receive a $25 co-op gift certificate.
The event is slated for Dec. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Carriage House bakery, behind the co-op at 24 Elm St.
Those entering do not need to be co-op members.
