CANTON -- Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country hosts its 17th Annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament Friday, Feb. 5 at the St. Lawrence University Golf Course.

It features nine holes of golf in the snow, warm refreshments throughout the day, prize raffles, and other outdoor activities. There will be a casual dinner and a short trivia quiz at the end of the night.

All proceeds go to the CP of the North Country Outdoor Recreation Program, which provides individuals with disabilities opportunities to enjoy activities like hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking, and horseback riding.

This fun event is open to the public. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. And a business that does not wish to be a sponsor but would like to contribute in some way may form a team and play.

Participants can play golf for $25, have dinner at 5 p.m. for $25, or do both for $40.

Tee times for golf begin at 10 a.m. and run in 10 minute increments until 4:00 p.m. Each team has its choice of tee time, depending on availability.

The format will be a four-person scramble, but teams with less than four people are still welcome to play.

Those who want to snow-golf or become a sponsor may contact Tammy Beaudin, Director of Fundraising, at 386-1156 or tbeaudin@cpnorthcountry.org.
