HEUVELTON -- An event being referred to as “World Tai Chi Day” will be celebrated at Pickens Hall Opera House, 83 State St., on Saturday April 28, from 10 a.m. until noon.
Instructor Sean Boutin and the 70 students of North Country Tai Chi LLC are hosting a complimentary class as part of the international (80-country) set of coordinated classes.
The began in Kansas City, Mo. in 1999, but has grown to include local celebrations across the world.
North Country Tai Chi LLC operates campuses in Heuvelton, Canton, and Potsdam and our students come from all over the county including Massena, St. Regis Falls, Potsdam, Colton, Canton, Gouverneur, Macomb, Heuvelton, Ogdensburg, and Waddington.
Boutin was trained and accredited to teach Tai Chi by the internationally Aiping Cheng, who is described in an event announcement as an “acclaimed Chinese Grandmaster.”
