POTSDAM -- The Crane School of Music is hosting a piano pedagogy conference, a day of free workshops for elementary and intermediate piano students, on Sept. 27.
It will be led by Randall Faber, who has lectured around the world on musical artistry and talent development, and performs extensively as a classical pianist.
His performances have aired on television and public radio.
He was a master teacher for the World Piano Pedagogy Conference, the Music Teachers National Association Conference and the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, as well as offering presentations as a guest artist at universities throughout North America and Asia.
Faber holds three degrees from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in education and human development from Vanderbilt University.
Faber and his wife Nancy are authors of the bestselling "Piano Adventures" teaching method, and their many publications for the piano.
Together, they co-founded the Faber Piano Institute.
