Photography, film exhibition at SLU's Brush gallery runs until Oct. 6

CANTON -- An exhibition titled “Deep Looking: Cultural Landscapes in Photography and Film” will be in the Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University now through Oct. 6. It includes works from the university’s permanent collection, as well as from artists Gary Braasch, Edward Burtynsky and Margot Anne Kelley.

Kelley will give a free presentation, “A Field Guide to Other People’s Trees.” 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20 in Griffiths Arts Center Room 123.

She will also give a workshop on environmental photography and creative writing, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21. It is open to the public, but advance registration is required, by calling 229-5174. A series of film screenings will also be held in the gallery.
