POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Library’s Public Computer Center now offers free help for people unemployed and under-employed in St. Lawrence County.
A powerful and effective resume can make the difference between an applicant whose file is overlooked, and one who is asked to come for an interview, library officials say.
Classes are available to help job-seekers use effective techniques for their job searches, prepare effective resumes, and be prepared for interviews so that their talents and skills are recognized by the employer. Classes will be announced soon.
Individual appointments can be made by calling 265-7230 to work one-on-one with an expert to facilitate a successful job search.
A class will be held April 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. to help employers learn interviewing techniques that will help them identify the perfect candidate for an upcoming job opening.
Anyone interested should contact 265-7230.
