Peak Moment TV host Janaia Donaldson talks with Wendy Siporen, who coordinates The Rogue Initiative for a Vital Economy (THRIVE) on Monday, May 28 and Tuesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. in the next Peak Moment TV program on WCKN, Time Warner Channel 30.

THRIVE helps small locally-owned businesses not just to thrive, but be more sustainable as well.

A "Food Connection" directory enables local businesses to buy from one another. Their "Rogue Flavor" campaign helps consumers find locally produced food at farm stands, restaurants, and markets. Tasty ideas from the one-week "Eat Local Challenge: cooking classes, films, and cooking a meal made from all-local products from the growers market.

Now in its fourth year, the Peak Moment TV programs explore locally reliant living for challenging times.

All new Peak Moment TV shows return in June, starting with Growing Up in the First Great Depression on June 4 & 5; followed by Young Lawyers Lower the Bar to Sharing Economy on June 11 & 12; The Straight Poop on Sustainable Farming on June 18 & 19; and concluding the month with The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace on June 25 & 26.

The programs are underwritten locally by The Center for Excellence in Communication at Clarkson University and the Seymour Family of Potsdam.
