CANTON – The 5th annual Pars for Paws Golf Tournament Friday, July 24 at the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club is still accepting registrations for the Potsdam Humane Society benefit.
Play will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and includes a day of golf, food, a raffle and an opportunity to win prizes, including Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and lots more prizes.
The cost is $60 per person.
“This is a great event for animal-loving golfers and for golfing families with young players as well,” said Suzanne Smith, president of the Potsdam Humane Society’s Board of Trustees. “We always have a great time and it raises money and awareness to support animals in our community.”
The Potsdam Humane Society is a nonprofit organization serving 10 towns within St. Lawrence County. Money from the tournament directly supports the animals in PHS’s care. Additionally, PHS offers educational programs for the community and local schools, a Pets for Veterans program, a successful low-cost spay and neuter program and more.
For more information, contact Smith at 212-1278, stop by the shelter at 17 Madrid Ave., Potsdam, or go to potsdamhumanesociety.org or partridgerungolf.com to download a registration form.
