POTSDAM – Perspective: Panoramic North Country, an exhibit of photographs by artist Nathaniel Infante, opens Friday, July 21, from 5-7 p.m., at the SLC Arts Gallery at the town hall, 18 Elm St.

In addition to a meet-and-greet, the artist will present a lecture about Photoshop techniques.

Nathaniel Infante of Canton works in a variety of artistic media including printmaking, mixed media drawing, and landscape photography.

Infante has a bachelor’s degree in art studio and art history from SUNY Potsdam and a master’s degree in visual studies with a concentration in printmaking from the University at Buffalo.

He currently works in the art department at SUNY Potsdam as an instructional support technician. This exhibit presents 17 of Infante’s large-scale, panoramic photographs of North Country landscapes.

From 5:30-6:30 p.m., Infante will present a lecture on photomerge techniques with Photoshop. This event is free and open to everyone, and wheelchair accessible. Visitors are encouraged to drop in any time during the two-hour event. Sales of Infante’s photographs benefit the artist and SLC Arts.

This exhibit will be on display at the gallery through September 1.
