CANTON – The paddling season starts soon in Canton with the “Little River Ramble” on the Little River April 21 followed two weeks later with the 52nd Rushton Memorial Races during Canton Canoe Weekend.

In the meantime, Canton Canoe Weekend’s Facebook Contest #3 has ended. Joe Schlimmer of Cortland correctly identified where on the Rushton course the graphic in their logo depicts, Leigh’s Falls just upstream of the Miner Street Bridge. The prize is a free entry to any event during the weekend.

Local residents can enter Contest #4 which will be posted at noon Tuesday, April 2. For a free entry at any Canton event visit the FaceBook page and tell who always gets a free entry at any Canton paddling event. The answer can be found via the Canton page at slvpaddlers.org

Full information can be found at the St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers’ website slvpaddlers.org or by contacting Chuck at 244-3712
