POTSDAM -- The Community Performance Series will present performances by organist Caroline Robinson Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. and Postmodern Jukebox Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.

A new star in the classical music world, Robinson has proven herself to be a masterful musician and performer.

A Fulbright Scholar, Robinson studied at the Curtis Institute and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Règional de Toulouse in France.

Her diverse repertoire, spanning from J.S. Bach to Samuel Barber, provides great depth to her performance capabilities, guaranteeing a lively and musical rendition within each piece.

In addition to her studies on the organ, Robinson also studies harpsichord and piano.

Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox will be featured Tuesday, Oct. 21, in Hosmer Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Proving that everything new can be old again, pianist Scott Bradlee has become a viral pop sensation after creating a series of clips for YouTube that finds him and his ad hoc group reworking 21st century pop hits in a variety of vintage styles.

He and the group transformed Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" into a '50s-style doo wop number, gave Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" a '20s jazz accent, crossed Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" with Irish folk music, and showed how Ke$ha's "Die Young" would work as a classic country tune.
