POTSDAM -- The Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley will host an organ recital in honor of Black History Month, featuring the works of several African-American composers.
Performed by Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, St. Lawrence University’s organist and musician-in-residence, the concert will take place at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at SUNY Potsdam’s Helen Hosmer Hall. Admission is free.
The performance will include works by Ralph Simpson, J. Roland Braithwaite, Adolphus Hailstork, Eugene W. Hancock, Undine S. Moore, Evelyn Simpson-Curenton, and Olufela Obafunmilayo (Fela) Sowande.
