POTSDAM -- The Orchestra of Northern New York will hold a spring concert featuring two love stories Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. at SUNY Potsdam’s Hosmer Hall.
The concert will feature symphonic dances from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and Tchaikovsky's classic "Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture."
Aarond Copland's “Fanfare for the Common Man” will also be played.
Paul Siskind’s world premiere flute concerto, "Whence Minstrelsie Filled the Gallerie,” commissioned for soloist Jill Rudio for the orchestra’s 25th anniversary season by Luis Canales and Susanne Daye, will also be included.
Kenneth Andrews will conduct.
