POTSDAM -- The Orchestra of Northern New York (ONNY) will host the "Fantasy, Fables and Folklore" concert on Saturday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in Helen M. Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
The concert will focus on how composers create music based on ideas from fables, fantasy and folklore.
Planned selections include Greig, In the Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt, Op. 46, with the winner of the Young Artist Competition; Dukas, Sorcerer’s Apprentice (As featured in Walt Disney’s Fantasia); Williams, “Superman March” from the movie Superman; Beck/Anderson-Lopez, selections from the movie Frozen.
The guest narrator is Carol H. "Kickie" Britt.
