POTSDAM -- "My Many Colored Days," will be performed by the Orchestra of Northern New York (ONNY), at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24 in Hosmer Concert Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
The concert will center around two color-themed pieces: "My Many Colored Days" by Dr. Seuss and "The Purple Palace," both with narration by Dr. Lonel Woods, an assistant professor of voice at Crane. Other pieces performed include Berlioz’s Hungarian March from The Damnation of Faust and Rossini’s Selections from La Boutique Fantastique (The Magic Toy Shop).
The ONNY concert will also feature Lillia Woolschlager on oboe as the winner of the 2012 James and Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition.
Tickets are free for 12 and under, $5 for ages 13-18, $16 for seniors and $18 for adults and can be purchased at 267-2277, by visiting www.onny.org.
