MADRID -- The Madrid Fire District will hold an open house on Sunday, June 24, starting at 1 p.m., at the fire station.
The public is invited to stop by and do a walk-through of the new facility.
“The improvements that were done were much needed to keep up with the everchanging fire service,” writes Jim McCall, Fire Commissioner Chairman, in an email.
“The addition provides the department the ability to have mutual aide vehicles utilize the station in the adverse weather, which we were unable to do because of height constraints of the existing bay doors,” McCall said.
Refreshments will be provided.
