CANTON -- Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY), 53 Main St., will hold an opening reception Saturday, Feb. 11, from 1-3 p.m. for an expanded version of the traveling exhibit “Venerable Folks of Tug Hill.”

This exhibit celebrates the resilient population of the snowy Tug Hill region, a 2,100 square mile patchwork of small villages, farms, and wilderness located between Lake Ontario and the Adirondacks, known to the Iroquois as the “Lesser Wilderness,” to distinguish it from the Adirondacks.
