OGDENSBURG -- St. John's Conservatory Theater will hold auditions for its next original musical comedy "A Kreepy Christmas Carol" on Thursday evening, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m.
Based on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," this musical re-imagining of the holiday classic comes from the pen of award-winning playwright Brazillia R. Kreep (author of JCT's current hit "Alice Isn't All There") who has composed the show's book, music, and lyrics especially for JCT.
"A Kreepy Christmas Carol" is presented in chamber theater style, with musical direction and arrangements by Angela Conzone Dwyer and orchestrations by Pat Duffy. Sets and props are designed and furnished by local artist Stephen Chambers. The show runs the first three Friday and Saturday evenings of December.
Auditions are at JCT's theater on the second floor of the St. John's Parish House at the corner of Franklin and Knox streets. JCT is looking primarily for performers ages 10 to 14, but anyone can come tryout. Anyone who wants to audition should arrive prepared to sing their favorite song "a capella" for the show's directors.
