The Laurentian Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) begins its fall season of outings and events this weekend.
People are invited on a one-mile canoe trip Saturday, Oct. 3 on Debar Pond with a bushwhack to the ledges of Baldface Mountain.
A short carry required.
Lunch on the shore, then an optional strenuous bushwhack to the cliffs of Baldface. Another option is to explore the shore, relax, or swim.
Those who would like to go should call trip leaders Lois and Duncan Cutter, 328-4675.
On Sunday, Oct. 4, the club leads a climb up Ampersand in a five-mile round-trip hike described as “strenuous but leisurely.” Contact John Barron, 613-828-2296 or johnbarron@sympatico.ca.
