OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum, 303 Washington St., will host several art activities during the last week of February.

Two River Shiver art activities are planned for the weekend of Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. children will create winter figures from a collage using “found objects” like buttons and seeds after reading the book “Snowballs” by Lois Ehlert.

Sunday, also from 1 to 4 p.m., kids will create snow globes using jars, figures and glitter after reading Jane O’Connor’s “The Snow Globe Family.”

Tuesday, Feb. 26 the Ogdensburg Public Library Program will continue with a reading of “Saturday Night at the Dinosaur Stomp” by Diggory Shields from 3:30 to 5 p.m. After the reading kids will create paintings using guided practice with watercolors.

Last, Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the museum will host a lunch bunch for ages zero to four. Bring a bagged lunch for an art activity. Kids will make snow globes using clear plastic cups and glitter and crayon shavings.
