OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center will give away free bike helmets for kids.
On May 12 from 4 to 7 p.m., kids can be fit for the protective gear and take a helmet home with them.
There will be demonstrations on proper helmet-fitting, bike safety and bike maintenance.
It will be in the hospital’s Hess Auditorium.
The event is for ages 5 to 12.
Fidelis Healthcare, Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, NYSCOPBA and CGSW Racing sponsor the event.
