Ogdensburg Zonta Club to host St. Lawrence Talent Challenge at Heuvelton Central School

HEUVELTON -- The Ogdensburg Zonta Club is hosting the "2014 St. Lawrence Talent Challenge" on May 30 at the Heuvelton Central School auditorium.

The event will benefit the Jules of Life Foundation, which gives financial help to families of children with cancer.

This year's performers include Carina Willard, Heuvelton; Allexa Hooper, Lisbon; Hope Walker, Lisbon; Laura Cook, Massena; Sadie O'Neil of Ogdensburg, Kimmy McGinnis, Norwood; Ben Foster, Gouverneur; Anthony Nocerino and Emily Johnson of Norwood, Hailey Weber, Ogdensburg; Lindsey Remington, Lisbon; Eliza and Cherie Hadlock, Savannah and Madeleine Rathbun, Hammond; Laundry LaPiene, Heuvelton; Emma Smithers, Heuvelton; Kelsey Newtown, Brasher; Marissa Johnston, Heuvelton Central School; Sydney Morley, Paisley Forrest, Heuvelton and Sadie O’Neil, Ella O’Neil, Gabrielle Morley, Emma Lebeau, all of Ogdensburg.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. D

oors open at 6:30 for the 7 p.m. show.

Dawn Merz of YESFM and previous champ Troy O’Brien will be hosting. Celebrity judges will determine the winners. The panel includes Lisa Adams, Seaway Festival karaoke judge; Laurelee Roethel, owner of River Rat Designs and Roethel’s Mailing Center; Angela Dwyer, Elementary Vocal Music Teacher and Assistant Dance Instructor at Julies Dance Studio and Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club member Sharon Garvey.
