OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Public Library will host many free events in April, including several to mark April 11 to 16, which they call “National Library Week.”
Daily events throughout Library Week include St. Lawrence Valley Roasters coffee tasting, “book tasting,” yoga class, library bingo for a daily prize, a digital presentation on the building’s Sawyer paintings and a self-guided history scavenger hunt library tour.
One-time April free events include:
• April 6 - Social hour, 2 p.m., coffee, treats and chat
• April 11 - Upcycled picture frame, 2 p.m., turn a book into a picture frame
• April 11 - Horwood stained glass museum presentation, 6 p.m. learn about Horwood family and stained glass
• April 12 - Thompson Park zoo, 4 p.m., zoo visits library with live animal guests
• April 13 - Container gardening, 2 p.m., learn from master gardener
• April 14 - Recycled bead craft, 5 p.m., make beads from recycled materials
• April 15 - Beginners’ yoga, 2:30 p.m.
• April 21 - Movie night with free popcorn, a movie about fairies, magic and love rated PG, 5:30 p.m.
• April 22 - Battle of the books, 1:30 p.m., contest to see who is the best reader
