OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg Public Library will celebrate 120 years and National Library Week Wednesday, April 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. Attendees can create their own bookmarks for the library to laminate. Cupcakes and other goodies will be shared, along with parting gifts. The library received the first state library charter in the North Country in 1893.
April 23 the library will celebrate National Poetry Month at a “Prose Open Mic Night” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Poems, stories and lyrics are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
The library will also hold a spring book sale Thursday, April 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. The sale will continue Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a bag sale Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fill a bag for $2.
