OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Parks & Recreation Department will begin registration for its 2016-2017 winter programs, which include Biddy Basketball, wrestling and gymnastics, on Monday, Oct. 17.
Registration will take place at the Dobisky Visitors’ Center, 100 Riverside Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Biddy basketball is for both boys and girls grades K-6 and will meet at Ogdensburg Free Academy on Saturdays beginning Dec. 10 and will continue through Feb. 11.
The weekly schedule is 8-9 a.m. for youth grades K-2; 9-10 a.m. for grades 3-4; and 10-11 a.m. for grades 5-6.
Cost is $10 and youths must be registered in order to participate.
Youth wrestling will begin at Ogdensburg Free Academy on Tuesday, Jan. 3 and meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday until March 14, with the exclusion of the school district's winter break.
Cost per youth is $10 and registration is required.
Introductory gymnastics for youths ages 4-7 and 8-11 will be held at Kennedy Elementary School on Saturdays beginning Nov. 5 and ending Dec. 17.
Ages 4-7 will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. while ages 8-11 will meet from 10 to 11 a.m.
Cost is $15 per child and registration is required.
Sunday family swim will at Ogdensburg Free Academy’s pool will run from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning on Sunday, Jan. 8 and continue through March 12, with the exception of March 5.
The program is free and open to the public.
