OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum host their first “Art Highlights and Tea” of the year with a talk by museum director Laura Foster at 2 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Foster will talk about the museum's acquisitions and loans in 2016 of original art by Frederic Remington and Sally James Farnham.

Tea will be served at 3 p.m., courtesy of Glory Martel and friends.

Cost for the tea is $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members.

The second talk, "Why We Celebrate the Horse in Fine Art,” will be presented by Robert Selby, a professional illustrator and artist, at 2 p.m. Feb. 8.

Selby will focus on Remington's and Farnham's equestrian sculptures in a larger art historical context.

The event is free and open to the public, presented in the museum’s Tiffany Room.

Further talks will be at 2 p.m. March 8 and April 12.
