OGDENSBURG -- The Northern Conference Knights of Columbus will host a "prayer rally" for the protection of conscience rights and religious freedoms on Aug. 12 at St. Mary's Cathedral, 415 Hamilton St., Ogdensburg.
The event will have about 500 first amendment supporters assembling peacefully in the public square to vocalize and pray for the protection of freedom of religion.
The rally will be lead by Bishop Terry LaValley with guest speakers from around the state.
This event is designed to inspire elected officials to represent their constituents by putting an end to any laws that prohibit the free exercise of religion.
