OGDENSBURG -- Vehicles, motorcycles and antique snowmobiles will be featured at the 13th ‘Car-B-Que’ Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dobisky Vistor’s Center.

The event, presented by the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce, will not have a parade this year.

“We are phasing that out, it got too hot and it was almost too much,” said event organizer.

People can register their vehicle by 10 p.m. at the Dobisky Center and vehicle will be on display until around 4 p.m. The cost to register a vehicle is $8.

Admission is free.

“We invited car clubs from Canada and they have been a big part of the event,” Jones said.

Event organizers are trying to get the 10th Mountain Division Band to perform, but have been unable to get a commitment from the band.

There will be musical entertainment even if the 10th Mountain Band can now make it, said Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Pearson.

Vendors include Sugar Valley Bakery, Lakeland Winery, Jamberry (acrylic nails), Have-a-Heart Charity and Vendatti Vineyard.

Food and raffles round out things going on at the event.

“Attendance has been pretty good the last couple years, but it all hinges on the weather,” Jones said. “If it rains, people don’t want to get their cars out.”

Judges will award trophies in several categories including best of show, people's choice, ladies' choice and president's choice, plus 20 other categories including best street rod, best flames, best 50s car, best classic, and more.

For registration or vendor information, call the chamber at 393-3620.
