OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg GreenMarket in Library Park kicks off a contest to win two $25 GreenMarket gift certificates July 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as local band Tailgate plays at the city gazebo.
The $25 GreenMarket gift certificate contest is open to everyone visiting the market.
The drawing will be on Saturday, Aug. 4.
“Tailgate’, a popular local group of musicians, plays a little bit of everything from classic rock and country to blues and jazz.
This week the GreenMarket features the season’s first green beans, zucchini and summer squash, red and green romaine lettuce, kale, spring salad mix, peas, the first potatoes, beets, and whatever else is ready for harvest Saturday morning.
In addition to the fresh produce visitors will find River Myst wines, homemade pies, cookies, breads, jams & jellies, whoopee pies, cupcakes and granola.
A huge selection of locally grown potted herbs, all natural organic soaps, ‘American Doll’ doll clothes, baskets, hand crafted jewelry and garden stepping stones featuring stained glass designs.
The Ogdensburg GreenMarket is also open on Wednesdays on the corner of Route 37 and Linden Streets from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays on the corner of King Street and Mansion Avenue at the hospital from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
