OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Elks Lodge #772 Flag Day Ceremony will take place Saturday June 16 at 11 a.m. in Morrisette Park under the large flag pole adjacent to the City Marina. Also participating in the ceremony will be Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from both Ogdensburg and Heuvelton, along with the Ogdensburg Free Academy Band and the VFW Post 2936 Color Guard.
The Ogdensburg Ministerial Association will have a Blessing of the Boats Ceremony beginning at noon. Boat owners are encouraged to gather at the large flag pole for a brief prayer service.
Following the service, boaters will be able to pass along the dock wall just east of the City Marina to receive their blessing.
