OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce is creating a list of items that will be sold in the annual citywide garage sale Aug. 25 and Aug. 26.
These sales attract customers from all over St. Lawrence County and as far away as Ottawa. Last fall the chamber had over 120 sales listed in the directory. The event can be a good fundraising opportunity for clubs or for people to clear out their attics or basements of items they no longer use.
To enter a sale in the chamber's Directory of City Wide Garage Sales for $2, call the Chamber office at 393-3620. The chamber encourages interested parties to list as many items for sale they can.
Directories will be on sale at the chamber office for $2 on Friday, Aug. 24 and at the Ogdensburg GreenMarket Aug. 25 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The location of each sale is marked with a code denoting one of four sections of the city for easier planning.
