OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum’s 2015 Members’ Juried Art Exhibition will open Saturday, May 23 with a public reception from 2 to 4 p.m.
The museum received 120 images submitted by 50 artists, a record number in the members' exhibit.
Juror Sharon H. J. Cheng selected 56 works to be in the exhibition, which will run through Sept. 27.
There will be a Best in Show prize of $100, second prize of $75 and a third place prize of $50.
The prizes will be announced at 3 p.m.
At the end of the exhibition, on Sept. 29, a public’s choice award of a framed print of Remington’s 1887 oil painting “Small Oaks” will be announced.
Anyone can vote for their favorite artwork until Sept. 21 at the museum or on the website, www.fredericremington.org. The museum asks that people vote once.
